Kyoto Architecture Film Festival 2021

As part of Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art’s exhibition: “Kyoto Modern Architecture” commemorating the 1st anniversary of the museum’s opening, movie screenings, talks, and events on architecture will be held for the first time at KYOCERA Museum, the Museum of Kyoto Film Theater, and various venues across the city. The festival will delve deep into modernist architecture, analyzing philosophy, literature, music, movies. This inaugural year will feature the first release of rare lecture footage of famed British architectural historian, Colin Rowe, as well as foreign short films, and more. In addition, mutual discounts between the “Kyoto Modern Architecture” exhibition and movie viewing tickets will be offered, providing an opportunity for all to get a deeper and broader understanding of modernist architecture.       *The movie and event schedule is constantly being updated.
